Baby's got blue eyes...

Today we went to a follow-up appointment with Dr. Rich, Kaitlyn's eye doctor who took care of her in the hospital. Premature babies, especially one as small as Kaitlyn was, have the risk of developing ROP or Retinopathy of Prematurity. In the last 12 weeks of pregnancy the eyes grow very rapidly, well preemies like Kaitlyn do not get that so...she was at a high risk to develop it. It could lead to severe eye problems sometimes even blindness. Thankfully,Dr. Rich says she is perfect...her eyes look wonderful and he is sending that diagnosis to Dr. Elizabeth (the best pediatrician in the world) and we do not have to go back and see him. By the way Kait's eyes are definitely blue they won't change. This came from either grandparent...David's grandmother has blue eyes and my grandmother has blue eyes. No it was not the mailman!
